Solar Thermal A Solar thermal solution uses heat from the sun to warm the hot water in your home. Sunlight is free, so once you've recovered the initial cost of the system your hot water costs will be significantly reduced. When the weather is cold, windy or overcast the tube panels significantly outperform the flat plate panels.

Aqua Heat Pump For an ultra-efficient hot water and underfloor heating solution, our Aquapura heat pumps offer exceptional performance

Designed for the Arctic Spray Foam Insulation Our advanced spray foam insulation helps you to conserve heat while combating damp, air and noise pollution. Even better, the superior nano-cell technology we use can save up to 45% on your domestic heating bills.

Air source heat pump An air source heat pump is an environmentally-friendly alternative to central heating. An outdoor unit harvests heat from the air outside and transfers it to an indoor unit, where it's used to generate hot water.

Solar PV Panels Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels capture energy from the sun, which in turn is converted into electricity for your home.

Being self-sufficient gives you freedom from the prospect of rising energy prices in the future.

Superior External Cavity Wall Insulation If you live in an older building with solid external walls or with narrow cavity walls, a post-war prefabricated home or a non-traditional property such as a timber or steel-framed house, then you can benefit from external wall insulation.

Central Heating and Hot Water Heating Our combi thermodynamic solar system not only provides your home with hot water but can also be used as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional central heating.

Indoor Air Quality There are the numerous indoor sources of pollution we are constantly exposed to. From heating and smoking to damp and mould, our bodies have to withstand a lot.

It's certainly a worry if you have a respiratory illness or belong to a family with young children and older people.

Take control of your future wellbeing today. Ask how the Noreus team can dramatically improve indoor air quality and help protect the health of your home.

Heat Exchange Eco Shower Did you know that up to 90% of our domestic hot water usage is spent on showering? Keep in mind that most of this ends up down the drain and it's not surprising that showers are seen as one of the worst offenders when it comes to wasting energy.
A heat exchange shower system can actually recycle a high percentage of that waste - saving up to 60% of energy and helping to cut your bills in the process.

Thermodynamics A solar assisted heat pump or thermodynamic solar system consists of an aluminium collector which is fitted to your wall or roof, preferably south facing, and a unit which is installed in your cylinder cupboard or loft.

The panel absorbs heat from the atmosphere and the refrigerant fluid transforms into a gas. It moves to the thermodynamic unit which compresses it into hot fluid again, before going through a heat exchanger to heat the water in the nearby cylinder. The fluid then passes through a valve into the box where it returns to the outside collector, ready to begin the whole operation again.

HOW SOLAR THERMAL WORKS...

Our well-designed and accurately constructed solar thermal solution uses evacuated tubes, instead of the traditional flat plate panels, which are fitted to your roof. Evacuated tube collectors are comprised of an array of twin wall glass tubes with a vacuum that provides excellent insulation against heat loss. The design is very similar to a glass hot water flask used to keep hot water in. Twin wall evacuated tubes have the absorber coating on the inner tube and the space between the two tubes is 'evacuated' to form the vacuum. The tubes utilise the rays from the sun to produce hot water for your home.

Significant savings on your domestic hot water energy bill
Heated water throughout the year
Reduce your carbon footprint
Minimum maintenance
Guaranteed return on investment
This environmentally-friendly solution takes about a day to install and can reduce your domestic hot water energy bill up to 90%. The initial cost of the system is recovered within the first few years.

Aqua Heat Pump For an ultra-efficient hot water and underfloor heating solution, our Aquapura heat pumps offer exceptional performance

HOW AQUAPURA HEAT PUMPS WORK
A cooling liquid is pumped into an outdoor heat exchanger, where it absorbs heat from the atmosphere. It is here that the liquid turns into a gas and is then transferred into a mechanical compressor (don't worry though - it's quietly efficient and totally state-of-the-art). The compressor makes the temperature go up because of increased pressure and a second indoor heat exchanger transfers the heat to water in the cylinder.

The result? Hot water at 55°C - the perfect temperature for running the taps in your bathroom and kitchen. Even better is the fact that it will work in cold weather so you can enjoy lovely hot running water come rain or shine.

Designed for the Arctic Spray Foam Insulation For a cosy and more energy-efficient home try our superior spray foam insulation system.
Keep heat locked in for a warmer and healthier home - AND save money on your household bills.

Our advanced spray foam insulation helps you to conserve heat while combating damp, air and noise pollution. Even better, the superior nano-cell technology we use can save up to 45% on your domestic heating bills.

HOW SPRAY FOAM INSULATION WORKS
Building science has developed significantly over the years and here at Noreus, we are proud to be at the cutting edge of innovation and green technology.

Other types of insulation, which use rock wool, fibreglass or rigid board insulation, can leave small imperfections such as gaps and holes, exposing your home to draughts and cold. Our spray foam insulation is closed-cell, and its solid nature offers greater sealing capability than we've ever seen befo

Air source heat pump How it works...

An air source heat pump is an environmentally-friendly alternative to central heating. An outdoor unit harvests heat from the air outside and transfers it to an indoor unit, where it's used to generate hot water. This can then be used to heat the house, domestic hot water, radiators or under-floor heating. Your indoor unit will much work the same way as your conventional central heating boiler, however it uses heat from the air outside, rather than gas.

THE BENEFITS...

Heats your home and your water
Reduces energy costs
Minimal maintenance
Lower carbon emissions
Less disruptive to install than ground source heat pumps

Solar PV HOW IT WORKS...

If you are looking for large savings on your household bills, then you should consider solar power.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels capture energy from the sun, which in turn is converted into electricity for your home.

Being self-sufficient gives you freedom from the prospect of rising energy prices in the future.

Even better, you actually get paid for using the electricity you make. The Government-backed Feed-in-Tariff is designed to promote green energy solutions. On top of the tax-free income generated from this incentive scheme, you can also sell any electricity you do not use back to the Grid.

Superior External Cavity Wall Insulation HOW IT WORKS
If you live in an older building with solid external walls or with narrow cavity walls, a post-war prefabricated home or a non-traditional property such as a timber or steel-framed house, then you can benefit from external wall insulation.

If you constantly feel the need to turn the heating up and you live in one of the building types described above, now you know why.

The good news is that you can take control of your household heating bills.

We will fix our superior foam insulation to the outside of your property, along with a protective render or cladding. By stopping heat loss, you will save money and what is more, the unrivalled sealing technology offered by our foam insulation provides you with a robust barrier against damp, noise and pollution.

Central Heating and How Water Heating Our combi thermodynamic solar system not only provides your home with hot water but can also be used as an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional central heating.

Imagine being able to harness the power of renewable technology to provide hot running water through your taps and heat the radiators or underfloor heating system throughout your house.

Don't forget that's for 365 days of the year, come rain, wind, hail, snow or shine.

Indoor Air Quality It has never been more important to ensure the air we breathe is fresh and pure. That's because traffic emissions and exposure to harmful levels of radon gas is taking a real toll.

Of course we should be able to shut the front door and forget about rising pollution outside. Still, what happens when poor ventilation traps stale, unhealthy air in the very place we should feel safest?

Then there are the numerous indoor sources of pollution we are constantly exposed to.

It doesn't have to be like this. A heat exchange shower system can actually recycle a high percentage of that waste - saving up to 60% of energy and helping to cut your bills in the process.

HOW HEAT EXCHANGE SHOWER SYSTEMS WORK
When a shower is switched on, hot water is drawn from the boiler. In a typical bathroom, this water simply flows down the drain, never to be seen again. It's a real waste of energy.

Thanks to a heat exchange shower system installed by the Noreus team, this waste water is recovered and used to heat up your cold water mains supply.

We connect an attachment into your drain (don't worry - our highly efficient and tidy team keeps any disruption to a minimum) before directing the warm waste water through a double wall channel and using the heat energy to warm up the fresh cold water.

This heated water in turn flows back through the shower head. What's clever is that, because of the double wall channel, the waste water never comes into direct contact with the fresh water supply.

In many cases, the system can be installed with your existing electric shower too. It can also be used alongside a walk-in shower for greater comfort and manageability.

Pollution eating roof tiles Reducing the impact of harmful pollution seeping into the home has never been more important. Numerous studies show that exposure to exhaust fumes and toxins in the atmosphere can have a negative impact on long-term wellbeing.

The good news is that you can take action to significantly improve indoor air quality and health.

HOW POLLUTION EATING ROOF TILES WORK
The Noreus team already offers a complete roofing solution as part of our loft and roof insulation services.

We know that poorly maintained roofs are a major cause of heat loss so that's why we offer a one-stop shop for homeowners wanting to fix leaks and broken tiles.

In fact you can ask us for a free roof survey - just to make sure your roof is working as well as it should be.

Did you also know that we can also fit roof tiles with a photocatalytic coating to combat pollution? By swapping standard impassive tiles for a roof that actively purifies the air, you'll be doing a big favour to yourself and the environment around you.

What is photocatalysis? Quite simply, it is the acceleration of a chemical reaction by light. Titanium dioxide on the tiles is stimulated by sunlight and removes harmful nitrogen oxides, which are then washed away from the roof's surface by rainwater. A roof coated entirely with titanium dioxide could neutralise the emissions from 11,000 car miles over a period of one year.

Our tiles are also manufactured using 50% recycled materials - making it a highly sustainable roofing product that achieves an A+ rating in the BRE Green Guide to Specification.

Even better still, these gases are converted into a neutralised calcium nitrate which in turn can be used as a fertiliser on the garden. How clever is that?

Deluxe Cavity Wall Insulation HOW IT WORKS...

Our Deluxe Cavity Wall Insulation produces a seamless insulating layer with no joins or gaps, which reduces energy loss and makes for a more comfortable home.

If you have a house that was built after the 1920s, then you will probably have cavity walls - a wall made up of two layers with a gap, or cavity, in between. If no insulation has been built into this space, then you can expect around a third of your heat to escape through the walls.

The team at Noreus will fill that gap with our superior foam insulation material. By keeping the heat you generate locked in your home, you will feel warmer and save money on your household bills too.

What is more, by air sealing your home, it can help block pollutants and reduce the dangers of respiratory distress.

If you have an older property with solid external walls, take a look what Noreus can do for you and your home.

THE BENEFITS...

Prolongs the life of your home
Significantly improves the energy rating of your home
Reduces energy loss & consumption
Minimises pollutants

What makes us different Established in 2007, Noreus Solutions was born out of a desire to provide homeowners with a more ethical service. Sadly, we are aware of far too many inexperienced companies, within the industry, providing a service purely based on profit.

It’s a fact that fossil fuels have already lost the race against renewables. As a team, we care about the environment and are strong believers in the benefits of renewable energy. By having a greater understanding of the solutions available, you can make a more informed choice when it comes to heating your home and investing in your future. www.noreus.co.uk.
